Battle of Nicopolis 1395

 The Battle of Nicopolis took place on September 25, 1396, between the Ottoman Sultan Bayezid (Yıldırım Bayezid) and a Crusader army from Europe. The Crusaders aimed to halt the Ottoman advance in the Balkans. However, the Ottoman forces achieved a decisive victory through strategic superiority. This victory solidified Ottoman power in the Balkans and increased fear of the Ottomans in Europe
